thats the context. i cant find it anywhere, im not sure if its a form of the verb kieru or not. thanks
ALSO, is hakanage a noun or na adjective or what?

be going/about to disappear/fade out/go off
"verb-te+ku" is colloquial form of "verb-te+iku"
e.g. miteku = mite iku, motteku = motte iku
hakanage 儚げ itself is a noun, but we usually use it as an adjective "hakanage-na" "Hhakanage-da"
e.g. kenkou-na = 健康な healthy/ in a good shape
儚げ = 儚い+ 気(hakanai + ke) = 儚い感じがする like fragile, short-lived like
怪しげな ayashi-ge-na dubious, fishy
