I mean, if science can’t give a definitive answer and say, “This is the absolute truth and no other explanation or variation of this explanation is the truth,” then according to creationists, the Judeo/Christian doctrine and only the Judeo/Christian doctrine is the truth…Is this what creationism all comes down to?
Update:Well, I don't have shoes on at present...but I fail to see what the hell this has to do with creationism.

if science can't explain it... Goddidit.
if science can... it's satan.
I doubt it has occurred to you that you are just as stubborn as those you would criticize. After all, they could ask the same of you; "why does she insist that anything a "Jewish fairytale" doesn't explicitly explain, then science "just has to be" the truth?
Better to tend to your own hypocrisy before tending to the faith in a higher power on the part of others that you don't agree with...
No. We believe that science and the Bible both agree when both are correctly applied. Today's mainstream science is little more than a religion with many assumptions that take more faith to believe than religions ones. Science can never prove that something or someone does not exist so to make the assumption that there is no God or creator is a religious assumption based on faith not science. So science (some not all) starts with a religious assumption that shades its studies.
@ Harold Saenger: You pretty much summed it up
As used in science, a theory is an explanation or model based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning, especially one that has been tested and confirmed as a general principle helping to explain and predict natural phenomena. Before a theory is given any credence in the scientific community, it must be subjected to "peer review." This means that the proposed theory must be published in a legitimate scientific journal in order to provide the opportunity for other scientists to evaluate the relevant factual information and attempt to duplicate any experimental procedures involved.
Creationists refuse to subject their "theories" to peer reviews, because they know they don't fit the facts. The creationist mindset is distorted by the concept of "good science" (creationism) vs. "bad science" (anything not in agreement with creationism). Creation "scientists" are biblical fundamentalists who can not accept anything contrary to their sectarian religious beliefs.
Creationism is NOT a theory
you have to know a religion. i'm a muslim, and i've studied islam for a pretty long time. i haven't reallly found any gaps. and if i did, i've often found scientific, ethical evidence, etc.. there's nothing wrong with having a religion. i'm sick of the notion that you have to be godless to have rationale. we all have learn how to respect other people's beliefs, or at least tolerate them!
That's what Judeo-Christian creationism comes down to. Don't leave out the other religions too! :P
In a word, yes
That's right. It's called "the god of the gaps". And when science explains what they attributed to superstition for centuries (see, for example, epilepsy vs. demonic possession) they never see the pattern.
Yes, that is what creationism claims.
did you spend along time thinking of this question? I hope not?
God is true
I'm in agreement with the first answerer.
If science can't explain something, it was done by God.
If science can, it was done by Satan.
