I hope you realize how dumb that statement sounds. Morality does not go out of date. Morality is simply....do what is right....period. Do what you would want others to do to or for you. Religion may teach these things, but these same morals are part of the lives of a lot of atheists as well. It is not merely a religious concept.
I am willing to wager that those morals that you find archaic are ones that tell you that YOU should not do something you want to do. The question you need to ask...is...who is out of step?
Quite simply, because they do not depend on us. Our morals are based on what God has revealed in the Bible. As the Creator, He has the right to set the rules, and He also knows how things work best. God's Word does not change, so the rules don't change (although how they apply to any specific culture must be an area of continuous study).
I know you probably do not agree with our morals, but that is the foundation that they are based upon. What are your morals based upon?
As a side comment, we don't claim to be able to fully live by these morals. They are God's perfect standard and hence a good target to aim for, but we all fall short. That is why God sent Jesus to pay the punishment we deserved for breaking His laws,
God's moral standards presented in the Bible are not primitive, archaic or outdated and those who live by them will have happier more trouble free lives as can be attested to by the millions of Jehovah's Witnesses who accept God's standards and try to live by them.
"For God is the same YESTERDAY, TODAY, and FOREVER, and He changes not."
How in the world could people keep up with such things changing all the time. We can hardly keep up with daylight saving time, or one small rule changing in the neighborhood. Like setting the trash out at a certain time, or remembering to pick up the milk when you pick up the children. I don't think I need anymore remembering in my old age, you young folks may be able to keep up but not me!

Actually, the root of my ethical code is far older than christianity, and I'm an atheist
Do to others as you'd have them do to you
