The fact is that EVERYTHING changes to adapt with the times. Religious beliefs are no exception. It is true that new translations can change meanings in subtle ways. But for the most part, as new problems arise, new rules or beliefs not specifically outlined by the text must be decided. For example, early Christians were divided for a long time over whether or not Jesus was an adopted son of god or the biological son of god. This was because in the first written account of Jesus' life, Mark, there is no birth story. Arianism was the belief that Jesus was "adopted" by god when Jesus was baptized and a dove descended from the sky. The first Council of Nicea declared this belief heresy. There have been many other councils of early Christianity that decide new beliefs, the virginity of Mary being another.
Theologians would argue that the bible is not "as changeable as the weather", but they also create so many interpretations of the bible that it is almost impossible to do so. John Nelson Darby is an incredible example of this. His ideas introduced the "you better be ready for Jesus' second coming" mentality, previously absent from the bible and most everybody's beliefs.

Too long; didn't read: There is evidence of Christianity's evolution everywhere if you look at its history. If it didn't change, why would there be so many different denominations?
No, it is because Christians finally have been given permission to read the bible. For a long time, the Catholic church(which was one of the first 2 churches) didn't allow their congregation to read the bible, they had to pay to let the Priest read it to them. Now because the congregation was unable to read the bible themself, the Catholic church was able to make all these funny changes in church without the congregation ever knowing that God was against it. At one point, the catholic church even refused to let the congregation learn how to read, so they couldn't read the bible.
Than there came a point in which the catholics took it too far, by tryng to convince people you had to pay to get into heaven. That was the point in which part of the congregation woke up to what what really happening, and left the Catholic Church. At that point, these people started to read the bible themself and realize what the bible truly said.
Bear in mind though, that these people were not strongly educated therefore the bible was hard to understand and intepret. And since the catholic church did not teach them right, they had no knoweldge of history and society of the bible(which is strongly needed in understanding the bible).
These days, in a time where education is stronlgy needed. Both girls and boys learn how to read and study history, we are able to strongly understand the bible even more. As we learn more about history, and linguistics, the bible becomes more and more clear.
This is why these days, many christians believe in womens rights, and women pastors. These are usually the strongly educated Christians, who are capable of reading the bible and studying it themselves.
Our morals have not changed, we have simply have learned more about the bible, that was lost for so many years....
I am a new Christian but would enjoy writing just the same. I am thirsty for the word but the message I get is prosperity and not how to serve Jesus. The messages seem to be a positive one but they do not reflect the path of Jesus which we are supposed to follow. The word has been twisted into what sells and not what is right. Its ok to have an opinion but not to hurt a brother or a sister. Love Jesus and follow is teachings. Do not follow false prophets. God Bless
i went and tried each little thing and now i know that is incorrect and that i do no longer do it using fact that is undesirable for me and my happiness. yet now i do no longer choose others for the state they're in. I understand that we are all human beings and christian, buddhist, despite is in easy terms a label you stick on your very own brow, per possibility for social motives, relatives etc. yet in the top would not make you any closer to God than you would be with out it. I additionally found out that to evangelise to human beings is pointless. human beings react to love no count what the words are. that is in easy terms with the aid of cultivating the affection and well-being of your self and letting it overflow to others that we make some distinction in the international. all of the sermonizing approximately morality, accepting Jesus etc. is man made. what's critical in this international is actual openness and help of one yet another. yet whether you're taking that as an concept it turns into stupid using fact human beings initiate thinking you need to settle for murderers and baby molesters. What i'm attempting to declare is that the undertaking grow to be that faith is in everybodies heads. that is this precis ingredient that governs us, however the international isn't bounded with the aid of those thoughts. they don't extra healthful. the international is in basic terms too complicated and stunning to extra healthful right into a e book. we ought to continually be masters of ourselves and give up hiding from existence. Sacred texts are there to assist us, no longer rule us. Oh yeah sorry, i shouldn't probably be answering this using fact i'm no longer an atheist. in easy terms a 'former christian'.
That's why churches change their history every few decades. They don't want parishioners to know that what they're teaching now is not what the church taught a few generations back.
Even the Bible is full of changes, but somehow they're unable to see that "Incest was not wrong until the day of Moses" or "Those rules aren't necessary any more" means that Biblical morality is not unchanging.
The word of God clearly outlines that there will be some that disobey in these last days, but they will have their time before God as well. God will not be mocked, whatsoever a man sows, so shall he also reap.
This could have been answered by reading the scriptures though, because asking a question here could possibly lead to half truths and answers not actually grounded in the word of God.
If you want to know Bible stuff, research the Bible.
The Word of God is Christ smarty pants. And He is unchanging. Man has free will, whether he choses to be moral or immoral. Your attempt at knowledge just went south.

The word of God does not change. Man's illumination and revelation may change.
Be more specific about the change or changes you are thinking of.
While we are speaking of change is Pluto a planet or not?

Don't depend on man for truth!
It is unchanging. What has changed (and foolishly so) is Christian's world-views.
They've left their first love, so to speak, in favor of being accepted by the world.
And they will pay dearly for it now - and whenever God says enough and puts this whole sewer-circus down for good.

Jesus said not all who say Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of haven and he also said I change not .
