Obama is making some detainees indefinitely held at Guantánamo Bay. Instead of reversing his executive order?
with another. He is ducking and hiding by having congress do it and vote on the indefinite. He had no problem releasing them himself, why is he afraid of issueing another order? He wants to duck behind congress and blame them for a smart and logical decision, but one that goes against his campaign promise.
Congress only has the power to reverse the order if they disagree and decide to do it. It is his job to reverse it, no other president has ASKED congress to do it.

Indeed. Obama is also ducking behind the courts. He won't release those photos, but he's waiting for the courts to force him, even though he could issue an executive order yesterday.
He's a cold, calculating politician, and those that voted for him are always going to make excuses for him. I can hear them now. "It's YOUR fault he had to break his campaign promises!"
I would need a source to believe that. I do think that we have to watch our backs though, even now with Obama as President. Some very fishy things have gone on with the passing of the Patriots Act and if it is not allowed to expire at the end of this year...if it is continued that will scare the heck out of me.
