lol enjoy pondering because that is all we as mortals will EVER do. It is like time ... we see time as being an evaluation of " begining and end" therefore it is measured out in portions. sec. min. hr. day. month. year millinium etc etc etc. but yet those non believers will argue the fact that time just is and so on. while at the other end of the scale there is religious beliefs and many of them to say the least. of course they mostly all have limitations in thier predictions of when and how and how long etc etc etc. but as (time goes time tells all. so here is my version lol. we are alive unless I missed something in science class lol now time is only what we know up to this point billions of years and so on but who is to say that time is not overlapped a continuous scale of measurement in terms of life. sure how did time start but then how did it not? rather then get into it big time I think we have a hard time expressing our trust in time and the value it has for and against us. like all else our time is running out and we could become extinct like others before us. As we move into outer space we realize new set of rules regarding many things not known these rules apply to time and not unlike the days of thinking the world was flat this is where we are now. we either move forward or die and are replaced by another life form whatever it may be. just look at viruses they survive some of the most harshest environments but survive they do. perhaps we are not meant to survive in our human form after all we are very fragile when taken all things into consideration. Remember this though life does go on with us or without us thats OUR CHOICE.
Wow. It's odd. I took a break from YA for a couple of months, and I only recently came back, but I remember you. You used to post questions that were openly trolls. I guess this is a little better...
No. It's more like, well if the universe created itself, why do we have scientific laws like "energy cannot be created or destroyed", and "matter cannot be created or destroyed"? Was it always there then? I don't think so. I thought spontaneous generation was disproved a long time ago...
okay...so then basically your saying that Mom and Dad are the ones who put the presents under the christmas tree, and not Santa...so then..Mom and Dad created the big bang?
actually thats not even true the big bang did not happen God put things on this earth out of nothing it doesnt make sence but when the saved get to heaven they will know
its all about belief. how u see things. do u really believe that u came from a dot of energy, which maically exploded into the universe? and before that explosion, where was that dot of energy? in space? space wasnt there, becuse the universe wasnt created yet. and what made that dot explode? where did that dot of energy come from? what happened before that explosion? any way u want to argue that one?
Actually, anti-theists have the larger problem of believing that everything came into existence caused by nothing. That is by definition absurd. Yet, you call it "science".
A fairy tale is when a princess kisses a frog and it becomes a prince. When there is no princess, no frog and no stinking kiss, but poof! a prince, that is science....NOT.

If you want to look at it like that, sure. It doesn't really matter though cause the presents sure didn't evolve from nothing.

I think the point is Someone Put Presents Under The Tree!!

Yep. Or, if Santa is not true, then who are all those elves at the North Pole really making toys for?
PaulCyp, I hope you were kidding.
I agree. It is similar, but theists get hot in the head if you say belief in God is the same as belief in Santa.
