A Christian just responded by claiming that his chances of going to Christian heaven when he dies are 50/50 whilst I, as an atheist, my chances are apparently zero. But are the chances of Christian heaven being real 50/50? Isn’t Christian heaven an imaginary afterlife scenario just like every other imaginary afterlife scenario associated with different religions and each one is as plausible and likely to be real as the other? I could even make up a new afterlife scenario each day for the rest of my life and each one I make up will be just as likely to be real as Christian heaven, right? So this makes a Christian’s chances of Christian heaven being real 1 to infinity, because there are an infinite amount of heaven concepts, right?

Its not 50/50 or even 1 to infinity. You make it seem like God spins a little spinner where if the arrow lands on hell you go to hell, if it land on heaven you go to heaven. I depends on how you live your life.
I am a Christian. Meaning I follow Christ. That is what being a Christian means to me. Now it depends on where the Christian you are talking about got their idea of Heaven from. I say that because I get my idea of Heaven from the Bible, God's word. There are so many people out there that say they are a Christian and don't live by the Bible. Which is a false prophet. If you love Jesus Christ and accept Him as your personal savior and repent of your sins to Him and read God's word and live by it, then the one and only Heaven is your eternal resting place. It doesn't matter what people call you.
Yeah. It's a way to control the masses by making them think they're gonna be rewarded for serving the church. Think about, The (Un)Holy Roman Empire made money off it's own religion. If you promise an afterlife where the believer becomes not only loved and rewarded, but becomes rich, owning a beautiful mansion and living on golden streets. Doesn't Heaven suposedly also have alot of gems? It was primarily directed towards the poor. Definitely.
True Christians know that there is only a certain number of them going to heaven, that Number has not changed. Revelation 7:4 and 14:1 That number will be ruling as co-rulers over us with Jesus Christ. Rev 20:6.
All those not going to heaven will remain on the new earth that he will provide for us. Revelation 21:1-4
The Constitution of the USA protects everyone right to believe in a Supreme Being with any belief he chooses, So why wouldn't you accept that certain Christian's belief that he has a 50/50 chance. Do you not believe in the Constitution.?I'm pretty sure that's real.
Heaven described in Revelation 21 is the real deal because the Bible is God's Holy Word. Anything else is false. My chance is 100%.
iT IS ONLY THE REPENTED WHO GO TO HEAVEN !!!
Luke 18:11-13 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I get. But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me a sinner!'
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship with a living person, that person is Jesus the Christ.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
2 Timothy 3:12
This being the case, thanks for the thumb down!
There is only one heaven, where the Lord Jesus is...Only those who trust Christ for their salvation go to heaven. Obviously that so called Christian didnt know what the scripture says about whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Dont you want to know today that you can go to heaven? cause tomorrow isnt promised....
I think because there are an infinite amount of opportunities to sin and the fact that the bible contradicts itself in such a way that it is impossible NOT to sin is what makes the odds of going to heaven 1 in infinity.
