To borrow all Atheists lines of logic here...there are well documented steps of how a chihuahua (or almost any breed of dog) came into being through the intervening of man. There exists no actual proof of evolution, just conjecture over fossils (few complete, some incomplete and some "science" fabricated from one single bone - LOL!) Carbon dating is admitedly flawed. Despite elevating their own beliefs from what was always taught simply as theory to prideful fact; every single one of them admit they still have not found that "missing link" to prove their theory...and until they do, it remains unproven theory as they have attempted to trace ape to ape, but have yet not a single link in their lineage between man and ape.

In the mixing of canine breeds, one can view the "evolution" of that man-made mixture along the way and see the corrections and adjustments along the path to eventually bring about a breed with a standard that is able to mate and perpetuate the standard for that breed. Evolutionary theory however is absent all of this, as they have simply fabricated their time-line of evolutionary "man", for which there exists no proved "mixtures" along the way, or any proof that a standard was ever reached so that mating perpetuated that standard. There are no "mixtures" walking around; and in canine breeding an occassional "throw back" pops up, yet that never happens in evolutionary circles, which is unrealistic since DNA works the way it does.

You are absolutely entitled to your belief, as are we all; but it seems it takes far more faith to believe evolution (based on flawed man's unproved theories and void a necessary link) than it does to accept creation by a Holy God...ever see inside a black hole in space? Ever hear of lanolin? HIS signs are everywhere, and in everyone...that's good enough for me...not to mention the undeniable proof of the power He alone has to so completely alter a man through acceptance - that's tangible and undeniable evidence.

However, if purebred dogs were isolated for a sufficient period of time, eventually, no, they would *not* be able to interbreed.

This would be probably the most major example of speciation yet observed. Speciation has been observed on less advanced lifeforms, but the same phenomenon would work just as well on dogs.

There is no such thing as "microevolution" or "macroevolution". Those were made up by Creationists attempting to salvage some last shred of credibility that they would lose if they denied the fact that evolution on small scales has been directly observed.

However, all dog breeds *are* descended from wolves. They have evolved, albeit through artificial selection rather than natural selection, which accounts for the rapidity with which they have changed.

Also, creationist believes that we were created as fully formed human and the animals as fully formed animals. Yes, there is cross breeding but that is not creating something. What you are thinking of sounds more like an evolutionist.

Because there's no magic involved if we were descended from apes, its just against common sense. I thought it was obvious we are descended from a lump of clay and a spare rib.

Whatever happened and however it happened doesn't change the fact that it happened and is happening now. To argue about it is a waste of time and life energy. It won't change a thing to find out what is true about it. Here we will still be and we will still be trying to be happy and we will still be trying to experience fulfillment and we will still imagine that we may find it in the world of form and material stuff.

And no, a chihuahua will not breed with a wolf. The wolf would eat it. This is a reproductive barrier. Kill all other dog breeds (breaking the ring-like species) and they would be separate species by any definition.

I am a Christian who knows evolution to be true. But breeding a wolf into a chihuahua is not any sort of evolution. You are in over your head.

Yes, that makes sense. Chihuahuas are far more dangerous than wolves and humans are far more dangerous than apes!

actually i think chihuahuas evolved from rats

although i think a mammoth and an elephant would be better they are so alike that you cant deny they were once the same but if a mammoth was cloned today i dont think it would be able to reproduce with an elephant
