These answers were written not 10 minutes ago; they’re fresh from the malfunctioning minds of modern Christians;
“I don't need proof, God has already proven Himself to me through many things in my life.”
“God has revealed Himself to us. In a way that has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is very real.”
“YOu don't seem to understand Desiree.
I have me Him.
He is not a theory with me.
He is as real a Person as any other flesh and blood person.
The difference is that i know Him by spirit, through faith, instead of with my physical senses.”
“Those of us who believe in God don't believe blindly- we believe in God because we believe the Bible is the true Word of God. We believe in God because we have experienced Him in our lives.”
I see lots of emotion driven responses and people who think they can make me believe the stuff they believe by writing what they think are really compelling a-grammatical sentences, but I see no examples, no evidence and nothing that could even be remotely called logic. Therefore I concluded these people are liars or lunatics. Am I wrong for concluding thus?
Update:Mormon girl: "I am not a lunatic" LOL! Remember Nixon; "I am not a crook!"

They don't have any examples. All they have is religious bullshit.
You didn't ask for examples. But I did give you examples- I told you several examples of what Jesus did while He was on earth. These things were confirmed in the scriptures in the other gospels written in the the Bible. The accounts written have enough variability in them to give evidence to their veracity, because no testimony should be word for word the same, or it would obviously be fabricated.
The Nicean fathers who assembled the scriptures were very careful to put only the books together that they knew to be true, when they assembled the Bible. Many of these people were direct disciples of the original Apostles. They had firsthand knowledge that the things written about Christ were true. So I can believe what the Word of God says.
As for myself, do I need to go into the details of what God has done in my life? Like the time He healed my daughter instantly of a closed tear duct, which had been closed for 2 years, after I prayed?
Or the time He spoke to me and told me that a little girls' umbrella was in the church office when I asked Him where it was? (yes He really said that)
Or the time He told me that in the year 2000 I would be given a job as music minister at a church, a position I had wanted for nearly 10 years?(which I got in the year 2000).
Or the time our prayer group prayed for a man who never came to church to start coming to church, and get saved- we never spoke to him, but he started attending with his wife, started playing in the band, and got saved shortly after that?
How about the time we asked God to help us get a church bus when we couldn't afford to buy a new one, and that very same week a man from the Catholic church drove by and stopped in to tell us that he had a bus for sale, reasonable, and wondered if we would be interested?
I have lots of stories like this. Most of the time, people don't give you examples because they are little things. They may not seem like much, but when it happens over and over and over and over, you know that God exists. God doesn't do a lot of great big miracles- He answers a lot of little prayers, because it's the little things that matter the most to us. And that's how we know He's really there.
Desiree,
Why do you 'desire' to mock people, esp Christians with your rant "the malfunctioning minds of modern Christians;"
G_d has revealed Himself to many people - look at the O.T.
He started reveling Himself again after the dark ages (because of unbelievers like you), starting again in the early 1800's
I would tell a person who is really interested in knowing G_d a LOT more info on the subject (but they must have a contrite spirit).
Any apologist can in basic terms provide as sturdy of an answer they could create, hence they're limited with the aid of fact they have not got the direct connection to God for an answer. definite it fairly is a contradiction yet then there are a number of. accepted like maximum religions, they're no longer able to confirm the excellent photograph. the different ingredient i've got observed is that maximum have the only purpose of helping individuals that have already got the religion, hence they do no longer assume persist with up questions or a actual communicate. faith teaches human beings to no longer ask questions yet to have self assurance by unquestioning faith.
Believing a fairy tale long enough does not make it come true! Religion is a fairy tale based on fear. The Creator is neather male or female. What use is sex when anything can be created by The Creator?
If The King James Bible is the true word of God than God is less than 400 years old! The king james bible was first printed in 1611! We were led to believe that this "Word" was 2000 years old!
They take all the good things that happen to them and say it was because of God, instead of hard work or even luck.
But they do not use the same argument when things go badly. They say that God must have a better plan for them.
Either way God wins, with this logic. It is blind faith no matter how they argue it, as there is no evidence or proof, just their delusions.
I can tell you that I know God lives. I have prayed and I felt the spirit testify. There is an example right there. Please be open-minded because he lives. I have read the Bible and Book of Mormon and have felt the spirit when reading them. I am not a lunatic. I am just more open minded then you appear to be.
yes you are. Our proof, it's all about what we feel, feelings aren't logic, religion has nothing to do with logic or evidence.
You want an example? Today I was thinking about god and stuff and then once I started thinking about him, I could like, feel him.
sounds like crap, doesn't it? That's why we don't give examples, they sound silly ,but in the moment, they're as concrete and REAL as it gets.
One thing that is very hard for unbelievers to understand is that a true Christian has the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit works in the believer's life and opens the believer's eyes to the truth. I realize that from your point of view that may sound crazy. But it is the reality of the believer.
1 Corinthians 2:14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 John 4:13
By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He's given us of His spirit.
Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
Romans 8:11
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him— but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Yes, you are wrong in concluding this.
That's because you've cherry-picking quotes from Christians and taking them out of context, the same way you tend to do for scripture, Desiree, and that will always limit anyone's ability to understand something.
Fine, I will tell you, but you will probably think that it is bogus anyways;
About a year ago I prayed that my aunt and my mother could reunite as sisters (they had never talked in years, after personal conflicts.) and I prayed every night for them, and a few months later they start seeing each other again, and are like sisters once more.
A friend of mine in school was atheist, and so I prayed for her every night, that she might find God, and be saved from Hell. Well near the end of the school year I find out that she became Christian, and she was even going to a Catholic school. I was so overcome by joy, it was truly amazing.
Another thing, my dad was installing a new fosset, and he broke a very important piece to the set, so we had to return it, and pay for a new one. But there was a possibility that the shop could give us a whole new set for free. This possibility was very slim. So I prayed to God over and over again while entering the store to help us with our problem, and He did. The clerk gave us a free set, saving us the trouble of losing a lot of money. I truly believe that this happened on purpose, so that God could prove Himself to me.
These are just a few experiences I have had with God. I will pray for you, like my friend, I truly hope that God will help you. I hope you find it in your heart to believe me, of course if you don't, I don't blame you, most people wouldn't anyways. God Bless.
