Clearly some do or they wouldn't be trying to make up rules. I can't speak to the other two questions you raised.

Some people, well-meaning and otherwise, seem to forget that the Christian life is about GRACE and freedom. Look, the Hebrews had lived under the Law of Moses for centuries and couldn't keep it. Why try to make rules that nobody can keep?

If people would follow the Law of Christ, namely esteeming others as better than themselves, and looking out for others, then a lot of this stuff, I think, would fall by the wayside. People have tried to improve on God's way of living for thousands of years--and have messed it up every time. Let's get Back to the Bible and live life God's way.

Life is full of rules and laws. If it weren't then there would be anarchy and people would kill each other off and there would be none left.

Everyone is free to follow the rules or not. Of course, if you don't, you can expect to have to pay the consequences. If not now, then later.

Of course, conversely, if you DO follow the rules, you are ALWAYS free to break them if you want. But after you break them, you are no longer free to do anything. You either go to jail, or you become a slave to your appetites or something.

Christians think that having blood from a Zombie God that is invisible and inaudible but performs miracles that indistinguishable from natural events qualifies them as moral.

But really, ignorant and moral are two different things that Christians cannot grasp.

These people tend to think that ignorance is a virtue as it makes them more faithful because they believe in their fairy tale despite of all the evidence against it. It's disgusting.
