Any particular reason you didn't follow the directions?
v = (t, v2, s)
Orthogonal means v dot u = 0 = (t, v2, s) dot (4, -2, 0)
So 0 = 4*t + -2*v2 + 0*s
Now solve that for v2 in terms of t and s, just like it said to do.
