Christians: why don’t you like it when your religion is placed in the same category as myths and superstition?
Because that’s exactly what it is, dear Christians. Your bible, upon which your religion is based, is full of myths. Christian heaven is a myth, Christian hell is a myth, souls are a myth, your god concept is a myth, Jesus was a myth etc, etc. People who believe these myths are superstitious. So what’s wrong with placing Christianity in the same category as myths and superstition?

It already is. Religion is another name for myth. YA! just split myth into two catagories, one for those who know it's myth, another for those who don't.
Please, educate yourself before you make a fool of yourself when you post stupid questions such as these on Y!A or anywhere for that matter. If you knew anything about anything you'd know that the Bible was written over a period of thousands of years and by multiple authors and has not one contradiction (though some would like to twist meanings and interpretations to make it appear as so) and there are other accounts besides the Bible that are documented by people who saw Christ before he was crucified, while he was killed and after he was resurrected. The Bible also has its own test to prove its plausibility, accountability and divinity-prophecy. For evidence on the existence of God, look up Lee Strobel, the Way of the Master, etc. You yourself are a clear, fine example and proof of the existence of a creator and higher being. What, you think we all are just lucky mud? Now if that doesn't sound silly, I don't know what does. The Christian religion is anything but myths and superstition and anyone can say otherwise and deny it all they want, but it won't make it so. You can say that the grass is pink all you want, but that won't make it pink. I don't see why you would put Christianity and the Bible under "myths", you wouldn't put information about how to fix a car in a water color paint book-neither belong there because that's not what they are and is not what category they fall under. But I suppose sometimes the hardest thing to believe is the truth. It's a world full of cynics and skeptics. If you think you know the Bible and Christianity is all myths, why do you feel the need to waste your time talking about it on places like Y!A or trying to argue against it or prove it implausible, etc? Truth is, you don't have any proof against the existence of God or against the Bible. Don't make all these claims without any alibi.
Let me answer your quetion with a question. If everything that everybody in the world EVER knew, how much of it would u know? this includes my knowledge, aztec, russian, yugoslavian, canadian, and mexican knowlegde. even the knowledge of a guy living under a bridge. u wud say less than one percent. right? dont be proud. admit it. now is it possible for God to be in the other 99.99% that u know NOTHING about? if u said yes, you are not atheist. you just admitted that there COULD be a god. now, lets say god didnt exist, i would live my life, be happy, die, and never know that i was wrong. but if there IS a god, and u live your life, do what you want, and die; you WILL know it. What wud the intelligent person do here???...
