Most Christians ignore Matthew 7:3-5 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Basically it is saying that you can't judge other people's imperfections since you yourself are imperfect. But, like I said, too many Christians ignore this.
These Christians of whom you speak are most likely Christian in name only. This problem was happening in their lives well before they took the name. It just becomes very obvious when they try to make others live up to a standard they themselves lack power (Christ's compelling love) to do or accomplish.
Absolutely not! We are comanded to bring peace and love in the world thats what Jesus meant when he said ``Love thy neighbour``. As Christians we are here to spread that love and if other people feel convicted that is just holy spirit coming from us and those people feel that conviction because they don`t come under Gods grace.
Actually, that's not Christians. That's everybody. It's called the "fundamental attribution error," and it means that we assume our shortcomings are due to our situation, but others' shortcomings are due to their lack of character.
In the greatest of ironies, you're committing it with this question.

You assume that only Christians are like this
It is my experience with people from different backgrounds tend to do the same thing. They see everyone else's flaws but not their own.
Part of tolerating others and living in this world is learning that you are a flawed and imperfect human being just like everyone else.

Nope. Some are just in denial about everything and try to put up a front.
Yes! Don't look at the stick in someone else s eye when you have a LOG in your own eye.
They are prone to being holier-than-thous, narcissists, and general pains in the a*s.
Yes, that sums them up nicely!
