Would "mueve tu trasero" be a very informal way of saying "apúrate" in other situations?
I think it makes plenty of sense like that. Could it mean that or something like "tener prisa" when you are telling someone to do that?
If not, then what situations could it be used for? I know it sounds slightly vulgar, and wouldn't be used in formal conversation.

mmm it could be understandable, but hispanic people never say that... I mean, they used to say apúrate, MUEVETE, date prisa, and other words that I have no in mind right now. But they would never say Mueve tu Trasero... Hispanic people just never use the word trasero(***) when talking in their regular conversations as they do in English, they only use that word when they are specifying something about that part of the body.

You would likely be understood, and it wouldn't be bad for you if your companion that you are tlaking with has a lot of English exposure. I've never heard it spoken. I would likely only use it, like I said to someone who I knew spoke English and I was trying to be funny.
But people don't normally speak like that in Spanish speaking countries. Another thing to think about, trasero to us isn't too bad (Mexico), but in other countries, it's really inappropriate. So, if you're speaking to a friend that you know speaks English and has a good understanding of the phrase in English, use it. It'll be funny. :)
