What I would like to know is the reason for this anger? They bleach skin all the time, even with White models.

Where do you get the idea that the Black community was offended, I havent heard ANYBODY even mention that ad., much less be angry about it. Nobody. Black people do not bleach the skin either in general, maybe women who have uneven complexions might. Your information about the Black community is false, you might consider changing your source. EDIT: the media knows that white America feels more "comfortable" with light skinned people representing Black people since lightskinned looks closer to white, it is a marketing tool to use beauty to advertise your product and once again beauty in the media means white.
I honestly don't care either way. I think all women should be proud of their heritage. We all have different heritage. She is a Creole princess - nothing wrong with that. Just as you're a Ghanaian princess. Don't be offended. That wasn't her intention. You can be beautiful without a song written about you. And she says "Red, Yellow, and Brown" - not "light-skinned". She wouldn't even be considered light skinned.
Did it cause a lot of anger amongst black people? Or was it just the media trying to create a story? Don't believe everything you read.
Think about it: the implication is that there is something wrong with dark skin. We've had more than enough of that in this country for several centuries, haven't we?
Edit: Some of you really are missing the point. If you want to bleach dark skin, it's saying that dark skin is not desireable, is not as good as light skin. Seems offensive to me, or at least insulting.
Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.
Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net/ - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.
I could care less about Beyonce..to tell you the truth..so I'm not angered. Entertainment businesses do stuff like that. Plus I thought she already bleaches before Loreal even photoshopped her.
That was soo long time ago. She DID NOT bleach her skin. Loreal lightened her using photoshop. She looks retarded in that picture. I don't understand why they needed to lighten her like that.
am i?! what the hell is up with these generalizations....i don't care...black people have different skin tones, celebrities get airbrushed all the time (to lighten or darken their skin). beyonce is no exception. the only time i heard anybody mention "anger" about it was through the media....and who are they to speak for anybody?
and how old is this? almost a year, right? (or a year plus) so you sat around thinking about black people and this (non) issue for a whole year?
Skin bleaching? Interesting.
Im not even black and i know why.
Look at her before picture, there you see a beautiful BLACK women.. look at the after picture, does she not look black to you? to me she looks hispanic or maybe even Latin.. possibly italian.. she does not look black at all. What black girl had natrual blonde hair, prominant nose and white skin? NONE. beyonce doesnt even have those features.. its been edited to make her look like something she is not.. that is the problem
If I saw a white actress made up to look black i say the SAME thing, like when Nichole from girlicious they made her darker and braided her hair to make her look black i was upset.. cause she is denying her race and it embaraces my people.
Tell me she does not look practically black in this pic.. (shes the one with the blonde hair)
