In my english class we have to pick a song and analyze it. What does Rihanna’s song Cake mean?
When she says "betcha wana put your name on it" is she saying he wants it to be his birthday too? But then she says "Its not even my birthday” so I dont really know what shes celebrating. And he wants cake. I mean who wouldnt want cake, he probably wants the piece with the flower...right?

You will embarrass yourself and your teacher if you choose this song. If you are a fan of Rihanna's, why not critique a more meaningful song, like some of her songs on Rated R. For example, you can do Russian Roulette, since it serves as a metaphor.
