Where do I put the brackets in this equation for it to equal 8: 20÷2+2 (multiply) 2 to the power of 2 +6 ??
Please help this is the last question out of all my homework :/
Update:There is no multiply button or power of 2 (a 2 with a miniature 2 beside it) on my tablet so, the question in words is: twenty divided by two plus two multiplied by two to the power of two plus six

Can you clarify?
If I understand the question we need 20/10=2+6=8
To get to 10 we take (2+2*(2^2))
So we have 20/(2+2*(2^2)) the result is 2. Then add 6
Putting it together 8=20÷(2+2*2^2) +6
When there are no parenthesis the rule is exponentiation multiply divide add subtract in left to right order. EMDAS for short. This is the order of operations.
