this usually happens when I’m sleeping. When I turn over to lay on my side, if my left knee is bent and I unbend it, it cracks and also feels like it’s out of place for a second. It doesn’t hurt or anything it just feels very uncomfortable. This has been happening for more than a year. I have never had any problems with my knee, besides when I’m sleeping. What could be the issue?

As a woman, after having kids, I noticed my hips had widened, and sleeping on my side hurts my hips and knees unless I put a big pillow there. When spoon sleeping with my guy, he lets me put my leg over him, he likes it and says it feels like a hug. If I dont, and forget, I wake up with a sore knee, too. My advice? Buy a body pillow, and try draping leg over it, and make sure leg is bent put foot and ankle on pillow, lining up with knee. Also, if you lay on back, use pillow under knees to keep them bent, a straight leg can cause lock-knee, which makes walking painful, next morning.
