For gay marriage, I see lots of democrats who oppose it. Look at all the prop 8 voters in Cali.
How many democrats have honestly tried to decriminalize drugs?
How many Republicans have every actually tried to pass laws to over turn Roe v. Wade?
Patriot Act.. Wow .. look at how many Democrats signed that.
Update:as.erwin I don't disagree with you. I put fascism in quotes because I want to see what things Democrats consider “fascist” that Republicans do that Democrats don’t… We didn’t see any real examples come up here did we?

None of this has anything to do with fascism
Closest thing I know of that is Fascist in America is Obamas meddling with corporations, government has no business dealing with businesses. If they fail they fail and if they succeed they succeed, government should stick with international affairs, period
OK! Gay marriage? As YOU STATED, that was the WILL OF THE PEOPLE!!! (VOTERS, yo!)
Drugs is a state issue, not federal. The federal statutes that currently govern drugs are interstate commerce rules...
Roe v Wade is not a law. It is a Supreme Court ruling that interprets a law (the 14th amendment) - there is no way to "overturn" that.
Patriot Act was passed almost unanimously.
EDIT:
Overturning Roe v Wade would be the furthest thing from fascism that you could think of... It would put the issue square on the states... They would each have to decide for themselves how to regulate the medical procedure... How is that fascist?
The only one I can answer for sure is the one about Roe v. Wade. you see, as a court decision, Roe v. Wade is not actually a law. It's just a court case that has been cited many times in order to pass pro-abortion laws. Republicans are constantly, ferociously, fighting Roe v. Wade, but they do it where it is most affective--at the state level. You can't accomplish anything at the national level because it takes too many votes (votes that can not be gotten, I'm afraid) Look at the abortion laws in blue states compared to red states and you will see what I mean. they haven't been able to outlaw it yet, because they know the supreme court will simply unhold it's prior decision and reverse the law, but they have curtailed it severely in some places. Believe me, at the state level, politicians of both sides are always fighting for the things you mentioned.
As a "proud Libertarian"--do you really know what a Fascist is?
If you don't (comme je pense) find out before you throw the term around.
As Orwell said about the Left: They call anyone they disagree with a fascist. Don't be slack & fall into that trap.
Mussolini said: Everything for the state; nothing outside the state.
What Latino student group (supported by our newest Supreme) echoed the sentiment, substituting "la Raza" for the state?
OH please recover from your self. the final ingredient the Republicans desire to do is see investigations into what got here approximately under Bush. no longer to show open themselves as much as criminal prosecution. What persons are offended approximately at congress is they might't get prepared sufficient to throw Bush out. Or conquer Bush's twelve vetoes in a twelve months and a one million/2. while he had none for the six years his celebration controlled each and every little thing. the solid ingredient is that mutually as you're able to tell your self this tale to get you to sleep at nighttime, something of the yankee human beings be attentive to extra ideal, and, with twenty-9 Republicans retiring rather than face the music, it is going to likely be a mutually as formerly Republicans are back interior the drivers seat. in fact, if the Democrats ever get their act mutually, it is an extraordinarily, very, long term.
Fascism is not in "passing" the laws , it's in breaking them, starting with constitution that, for example, Bush.Cheney were using as a toilet paper,,,Cheney cynically and openly was admitting that himself....That's a real beginning of fascism in US, and GOP is it's grass root....
I'll put myself down as "independent" when I register to vote.
