"More than 500 economists — including five Nobel laureates — have endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s economic plan as the right choice for jobs creation and economic growth.
The pro-Romney group “Economists for Romney” announced Monday that its statement of support for the former Massachusetts governor’s economic plan now has 526 signatories, up from 400 a week ago.
“We enthusiastically endorse Governor Mitt Romney’s economic plan to create jobs and restore economic growth while returning America to its tradition of economic freedom,” Economists for Romney’s statement of support reads, proclaiming Romney’s plan as based on “proven principles” to restrain the federal government and expand opportunities in the private sector.
The 526 economists — including Nobel laureates Gary Becker, Robert Lucas, Robert Mundell, Edward Prescott, and Myron Scholes — point to six facets of Romney’s economic approach that they see as beneficial to future economic success."

Assume you have a can opener........
Now for the worse news, Romney's economics are attached to Ryan's NAZI social agenda.
Obama 2012.
The foundational assumptions are discredit by current economic facts.
Companies are setting on record amounts of liquid capital and yet investors are not investing?
The looming fiscal cliff is a extreme cut back of public sector spending and is not regarded with enthusiasm.
The alleged "benefits" are already available in current economic climates.
But those benefits are not beneficial to those that live in the reality of wage earning.
Economist supporting the Romney plan seem to think that it is a zero sum game with regards to wage compensation and labor paradigms.
Some how it is unthinkable to reasonably compensate labor in wages and divide total labor demand rationally amongst labor supply.
Capitalism is the conjecture that labor creates wealth.
Conservatism is the delusion that the rich are responsible for job creation rather than supply and demand logistics.
What plan? I have yet to see such a plan and Robmey himself has said that he won't tell us what his plan is until after the election. If he goes with Ryan's plan, he will destroy this country. Austerity doesn't work and any intelligent economist will tell you that. Just be
Oh please, you site some right wing rag and expect it to be believable. There are also economists, plenty of them who will tell you what's wrong with a plan that destroys the middle class and makes runs us back 500 years to a serf class and an aristocracy. There's a reason that doesn't exist any more.
These are old time winners Lucas in 1995, Becker in 1992, Prescott for work done in the 70s and 80s, and Scholes in 97. SO they can't even find someone from this century And Scholes has been involved in questionable hedge fund work. Just because they won a prize in economics, it doesn't mean they understand the economics of modern day America. Some of them won for some very obscure aspects of economics.
Let's not forget that Obama won a Nobel prize.
And who are the 500? Lots of people can call themselves economists. Doesn't mean they are. Probably went to the same school as Akins doctors who told him you can't get pregnant from a "legitimate" rape.
Various economists ascribe to different economic philosophies. It's hardly surprising that some ascribe to Romney's. I am quite sure that a comparable number also ascribe to Obama's. There are many more than 500 economists and many more than five Nobel Laureates.
All of which are supply side economists, the kind of economics that believe that believe that the supplier should benefit at the cost of the consumer. The kind of economics that promote social Darwinism.
You have asked a very good question, backed up with a link. HOWEVER, liberals will basically answer your question by attacking you and your source. So don't expect a coherent answer from them.
Wow, 500+ people.
That's just enough to take them completely at their word, with no consideration of the actual facts.
Hey, did you know 9 out of 10 dentists chew Trident Gum?
So what.
Most economic experts believe in the liberal way of building a nation.
I mean, how can taxing the middle-class and cutting tax on the rich better.
I think anyone but Obama is what is going on here.
That is all well and good...... but you should realize that more than 60 million people who do not want to take personal responsibility support Obama's economic strategy.
