Now I live in the UK and have always described myself as fairly liberal.
Often, on these pages, I am told that it is because I am a liberal, that I accept AGW. Whilst I regard this as entirely coincedental, I am often struck by the derogatory nature of the comments that accompany these statements. It is as though "liberal" is a dirty word; an insult! It seems to be mainly americans who hold this view so I'm wondering how much difference in meaning there may be between the UK, the US and any other part of the world.
So, with that in mind, what do you understand by the word "liberal"?
How "liberal" are you?
Your nationality?
Your view of AGW?
Finally, what do you think of the idea that only "liberals" accept AGW?
