Yay! Go nursing! I am currently a nursing student and there’s a couple routes you can take (all require the NCLEX). You can get an associates (RN) or bachelors (BSN, RN). If you choose you can also do masters/doctorate and get your NP. You’ll take prereqs like microbiology and anatomy (depends on what state your college is in/your college itself), then do clinicals where you go to the hospitals in different sections (ER, medsurge, peds, etc) and actually apply nursing curriculum! As you progress in your schooling, you get more responsibility. Like NPs can actually see their own patients and prescribe meds. I would strongly suggest talking to a nurse and shadowing if you can! Also, I work as a medical scribe which gives exposure to the profession as well. I hope you choose nursing and good luck! It’s a tough road but sooooo worth it!

Make sure in high school you’re taking biology and chemistry!! Also you need at least a B in English 12
A degree in nursing, either an associates or a bachelors, then a national exam
