In Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Hank Rearden, founder and President of Rearden Steel, the most successful steelmaker in America, says that the killer tenet which destroys a man is the soul-body dichotomy—that this wrong idea has been the source of his life’s pain. What do you think this dichotomy is? How has it wreaked havoc in Hank’s life?

Read what Rand herself had to say about it. That will give you your answer.

It's probably about the eternity in hell worry religions in general, and not just Christianity, foist on society who worries already about death and grieves over and wants to be with relatives who have died. So, not knowing Rearden, you might conjecture that the idea of a soul hanging over you and isn't you, might be coming from grief or the fear of death in relation to morality, such as his business ethics, which might send him to hell forever. If society didn't have this belief that was put upon us by greedy religions trying to expropriate our money, then Rearden wouldn't have been so much in pain with anxiety.
