I was catching Pokémon all day. I encountered a wild Wurmple and it gave me the disease, because it used poison point. So of course I went to heal my baby, Mismagious. The nurse and Professor Elm told me my Pokémon had Pokérus. So I was scared and sad, but I did research and it's quite helpful. For the long run, could someone tell me how this helps my Pokémon and when it goes away?
Update:*Mismagius

I know how you feel; my darling Leafa (meganium) got it and when i traded it to my brother to beat the League it infected his whole team (and he still doesn't know :S although i DID beat the League for him so it all worked out eventually...)
I think it helps pokemon grow faster by gaining more exp. points, and it will clear up after a certain number of days depending on the type of pokerus (as all virus' have different strains and varieties right?)
I think as long as you don't put it in the Daycare/computer it will clear up although it is actually helpful, you may want to keep it? I put a link about it in the source if you want more information :)
Pokerus is actually good for pokemon, the virus allows for easier leveling up of pokemon. All the virus does is that your pokemon nets more Exp from battles. So if you have a pokemon in your party that has Pokerus, make sure you allow the virus to infect your entire team. The virus, from my experience with it, lasts for about 2 days (I've only had 1 run-in with this virus) so make the best of the time you have with the virus.
It would not lose the pokerus; it in simple terms will become non-infectious. all some large reward of the pokerus nevertheless persist with. observe your contaminated pokemon has somewhat smiley face; meaning he nevertheless gets the greater EV factors, yet can not infect others anymore. this is advisable to maintain a contagious pokemon saved interior the pc in one day each and every night so as which you would be able to infect new pokemon as you get them. in lots of cases in case you have a contagious pokemon on your occasion by using fact the clock passes ineffective night, this is going to alter into non-contagious.
It is better not to get rid of it.It is VERY RARE to get Pokerus.
Pokerus is very useful it will double to Effort Value Points the pokemon earns,in short your pokemon will grow stronger. Also it spreads from Pokemon to other pokemon.
Pokerus will go away when you heal your pokemon at Pokemon center.
actually it helps it to gain abnormally high EVs so i would recomend you to try to get some Sp attack and speed EVs rather than heal it.i dont know witch version you play, but check out what pokemon give you sp attack and speed evs in your version and where to find them, beat them, and make your misgamius a beast
