Let A = {1,3,5,8} B={3,5,7} C={2,4,6,8}, Find B ∩(A ∪ C)?

Does this mean, use everything from A and C, and then find the things from B that are the same?

So the answer would be {5,7} ?

Yes, it means first make a union of A and C, so

AUC = {1,2,3,4,5,6,8}

And then Find the intersection with B (or things that are found in both groups).

B = {3,5,7}

Take a look at your answer.

B is the ONLY group to include 7, so it's not going to be part of the answer.
