Kingdom in 1914? I ask this in my studies I have noticed that in Hebrews 10:10 By the said “will” we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.
11 Also, every priest takes his station from day to day to render public service and to offer the same sacrifices often, as these are at no time able to take sins away completely. 12 But this [man] offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from then on awaiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet. (NWT)
And in 1 Cor. 15:22 For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each one in his own rank: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who belong to the Christ during his presence. 24 Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 25 FOR HE MUST RULE AS KING UNTIL [God] has put all enemies under his feet. 26 As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.
So the last enemy that is going to be put under Jesus' feet is death.
So in Hebrew 10 that Jesus is waiting at the right hand of God until his enemies would be put under his feet. Since 1 Corinthians 15 says that the last enemy is death, doesn’t this mean that Jesus is still waiting at the right hand of God?
Was death destroyed in 1914? Since all of Jesus’ enemies have not been put under his feet yet, how can Jesus not still be waiting at the right hand of God?
If Christ could not start ruling until God had put all his enemies under his feet, how can Jesus’ rule have begun in 1914 “in the midst of his enemies” and why did he have to start his reign with a war against them?
“But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.”
According to the Watchtower Society, Jesus is waiting at the right hand of God and cannot start ruling until his enemies are put under his feet.
Now my question is this. If Jesus cannot start ruling until his enemies are put under his feet and the Bible says at 1 Corinthians 15:24 and 28 that Jesus will turn over the kingdom to God the very moment that his enemies are put under him, when will Jesus be able to start ruling? What happened to His Kingdom? Because the very moment that it is time for Jesus to start ruling, after all his enemies have been put under his feet, it will be time for him to hand over the kingdom to God!
So when did Jesus’ kingship start? When did Jesus start waiting for God to put all enemies under his feet? He has been waiting since His resurrection. So He must have begun ruling as king at that time.
At Christ’s resurrection, Jesus said that “All authority” both “in heaven” and “on earth” had been given to Him. If “all authority” had been given to Jesus at His resurrection, what authority could be given to Him in 1914 that He didn’t already have? He was to Rule until God had put eveything under his feet. from the time of His resurrection and until the last enemy "death" is put under his feet.
Update:Hannah B - you state "You know what I find interesting? It is the fact that you keep posting new questions every couple of hours, yet you don't update the older questions."
I have posted two questions today and the rest is history. I am not going to say what I feel right now. But you answer is so incorrect.
Update 3:Bar- Can you read this : 25 FOR HE MUST RULE AS KING UNTIL [God] has put all enemies under his feet. Jesus MUST RULE as King until God has put all enemies under his feet, that would mean all things, everything and the last enemy is death. FOR HE MUST RULE AS KING UNTIL... Then he will turn over the Kingdom to God the Father. Jesus Ruled as soon as he was Given all authority to do just that. He sat down at the right hand of God, the side of Power. Your Bible Chronology is so flawed and the 1914 date is so opinionated. No way, no how did Jesus take up his crown in 1914. He took up that Crown upon Resurrection and setting at the right hand of God with "ALL AUTHORITY" Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Jesus received "ALL authority" following his resurrection from the dead:
Matthew 28:18: And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."
When Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, he sat down with him on his throne and began ruling immediately, as Jesus explained in Revelation 3:21: "He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
God's throne is not a sofa; you don't sit idly upon it--you RULE from it.
John 16:33: "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
The victory occurred at Calvary, not at some future date:
Colossians 2:15: When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
IF, "During the 19th century (1800's), sincere Bible students calculated that the waiting period would end in 1914," then why did the Society publish the following in the Harp of God in 1921?
“The prophet then was shown that the 1260 years would mark the beginning of the time of the end of this beastly order. Twelve hundred sixty years from 539 A. D. brings us to 1799, another proof that 1799 definitely marks the beginning of the “time of the end”…This date, therefore, when understood, would certainly fix the time when the Lord is due at his second appearing. Applying the same rule, then, of a day for a year, 1335 days after 539 A. D. brings us to 1874 A. D., at which time, according to Biblical chronology, the Lord’s second presence is due.” (p. 235)
“There are two important dates here that we must not confuse, but clearly differentiate, namely, the beginning of ‘the time of the end’ and of ‘the presence of the Lord’. ‘The time of the end’ embraces a period from 1799 A. D., as above indicated, to the time of the complete overthrow of Satan’s empire and the establishment of the kingdom of the Messiah. The time of the Lord’s second presence dates from 1874, as above stated. The latter period is within the first named, of course, and in the latter part of the period known as ‘the time of the end.’” (p. 236)

The Watchtower Society's 1914 date is a fairytale based on a gross misinterpretation of Daniel 4:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201106...
1914 was the amended date for the end of the system of things and when it also failed to happen, they then moved it to 1915, still nothing, a few years later they decided that they had made so much out of 1914 they better use it for something.
They then made up that Christ took His throne, which must be in a different place to the Right hand of God, to then start judging everyone. While they will tell you that bible students came up with this date, it was just their then president and he used the measurement inside the Great Pyramid and the alignment of the stars to arrive at this date after his earlier date failed.
Because the end did not happen and 1914 was prophesied, [they say calculated] Christ's invisible return sounded good as no one could prove He did not.
So here we have Christ invisible, sitting on a throne [away from God's right hand as He was there from day one] judging everyone.
Problems, The WBTS tell us that Judgment day will be 1000 years long and Christ will only judge on how people behave during this period. But not to worry as they decided that they would change their teaching to comply with bible teaching for a change and now they say that Christ will not start judging until after the tribulation.
If you don't like the teaching of the WBTS, just wait a day or two as they are sure to change it again.
When Jesus told his followers to pray, “Let your kingdom come,” it was clear that the Kingdom had not come at that time. Did it come when Jesus ascended to heaven? No, because both Peter and Paul said that after Jesus was resurrected, the prophecy at Psalm 110:1 was fulfilled in him: “The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: ‘Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.’” (Acts 2:32-34; Hebrews 10:12, 13) There was a waiting period.
For how long? During the 19th century, sincere Bible students calculated that the waiting period would end in 1914. World events that began in 1914 confirm that the calculation of these sincere Bible students was correct. The fulfillment of Bible prophecy shows that in 1914, Christ became King and God’s heavenly Kingdom began to rule. Hence, we are living in the “short period of time” that Satan has left. (Revelation 12:12; Psalm 110:2) We can also say with certainty that soon God’s Kingdom will act to cause God’s will to be done on earth. The book of Revelation speaks of the time when Michael would be active as King. It states: “War broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”—Revelation 12:7-9, 12.
Bible chronology indicates that this battle, cleansing the heavens of Satan and his demons, would result in great woe for the earth because of the Devil’s anger at knowing that his time left for ruling the earth was short. His anger would increase during the last days until his total defeat at the war of Armageddon.—Revelation 16:14, 16; 19:11, 15; 20:1-3.
After mentioning the outcome of that heavenly battle, the apostle John declared: “I heard a loud voice in heaven say: ‘Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!’” (Revelation 12:10) Did you note the announcement of the Kingdom’s establishment under Christ? Yes, that heavenly Kingdom was installed in 1914. However, as Psalm 110:2 indicates, Jesus would be ruling “in the midst of [his] enemies” until the time when Kingdom rule would exercise dominion over the earth as it has done in heaven.—Matthew 6:10
Jeez! The ridiculousness of this JW claim is amazing. The bible says nothing of Jesus ruling invisibly. The fact that they keep this charade up is amazing. Obviously Teller of Truths has used a cut and paste from the Watchtower. It is a shame that they do not research on their own. It seems that their Reasoning from the Scriptures is full of thought inspiration. They believe that God gives the major ideas and it is okay to reason what it believes. This idea takes them far from the ideas that are in the bible.

Greetings,
Your question is convoluted but I see several misconceptions which have contributed to your misinterpretation.
First, you seem to be understanding the statement "sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet" as referring to the king taking no action until after the conquering has been completely accomplished. This is not the case. In fact, the context of Ps.110:1 which was being quoted in Heb.10 indicates quite the contrary. If you read the rest of the prophecy you will see that after "sitting at God's right hand" verses 2-3 depict the King as being sent out "with strength" to "go subduing in the midst of his enemies" with "a large military force."
Just as Jehovah guaranteed that King David was "sent out with power to conquer his enemies" so also in the fulfilment of the prophecy the Greater David, Jesus Christ, would "go conquering in the midst of his enemies."
In fulfillment of Ps.110:2,3 Christ ceased waiting at God's right hand in 1914 and his first action was to lead the heavenly armies to throw the number one enemy Satan out of heaven. As Ps.110 shows, Christ's enemies would be put at his feet but that does not mean that there would be no enemies, such as “death” left. He would still proceed to "conquer in the midst of his enemies." As Revelation puts it he would go "forth conquering and to complete his conquest (Rev.6:2).
So God's placing Christ's enemies under his feet means that they were put under Christ's authority but it is also a process which will not be totally completed until the very "last enemy" would be annihilated (1Cor.15:24-26). The Bible shows that Christ would "wait" to act on or exercise that authority until his second "presence" at the time of the end. This time can be identified by comparing Rev.12:7-10 with Mt.24:3ff. The results are parallel: unprecedented troubles for the earth which would mark the coming of "the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ." According to Mt.24 Christ would return in kingdom power during that "short period of time before Satan's wicked system is completely destroyed."
In summation, there is no contradiction between Christ acting as king and Christ "waiting" until enemies are placed under his feet. Both prophecies are in agreement that Christ would "go conquering in the midst of his enemies" even though "all things had been placed at his feet" upon his ascension to heaven (Heb.2:8). As the prophecy of Ps.110 shows Jehovah God is the one who places Christ's enemies at his feet and gives him the power to go conquering his enemies.
Hebrews 2:8 also helps:
NAB: "subjecting all things under his feet." In "subjecting" all things (to him), he left nothing not "subject to him." Yet at present we do not see "all things subject to him."
"You gave him authority over all things. Now when it says ‘all things,' it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all of this happen."--NLT:
So, Witnesses teach exactly what the Bible says. Christ received his authority and yet did not begin to exercise that authority until God's preset time during the last days. Those beginning of those last days would be identified by an increase of troubles and unprecedented "woes" as foretold in Scripture (Mat.24:3ff; 2Tim.3:1ff; Rev.12:10ff).
The ONLY time period that fits this increase of troubles and also the chronology of Daniel is that which began in 1914.
Yours,
