During class in college, some girls came to make a presentation about AIDS. After the presentation, they started making questions. They asked who had never gotten himself checked for AIDS, so I raised my hand. The girl goes crazy raising her voice telling me how irresponsible I was. I calmly respond I just haven’t done anything that would make me need to get tested. She yells at me it’s because people like me AIDS is so rampant.
I didn’t say anything else, maybe I should’ve. But I’m still not getting tested. I believe in no-sex before marriage, so I’m a virgin. I’ve never had a blood transfusion. I’ve never done drugs, or gotten drunk, so I’ve never done anything stupid. I don’t have any tattoos.
The day I ever do something that might put me at risk, I will. But right now, I just don’t need to.

You responded correctly by simply failing to indulge her in her twisted power trip. you know you have done nothing to put yourself at risk, so all an aids test would prove is that it can't spontaneously form inside your body. the only thing i might have done differently is chided her publicly for attacking me. i would have said 'miss, there is no reason to yell. i'm sitting right here. as well, Its my choice to not get the test done, since I am not sexually active. if you are going to continue to act childishly, then i'm not going to dignify you with a further response' cool detachment is the key in situations like this.
I would have told her to keep her judgement to herself and that there are responsible people in this world!
She was rude don't take her crap.
But also understand that she might be very involved with the aids problem and takes it very seriously, she probably just got carried away. Maybe due to apersonal experience.
Here in South Africa we are trying to teach people not to be afraid of aids or at least not people with aids
You did the right thing. Since you know you've not had any exposure to anything that causes AIDS then you have no reason to respond. Sounds to me like she's passionate about what she does and believes everyone should be tested but since you have no reason to, I wouldn't worry about it.
I was at a bachelor party at the beach, had drank about 30 beers and all sorts of whisky. I went to go poop, went to the bath room, took off all my clothes, sat on the trashcan and put my head on the toilet and pooped in the trashcan. I was some how able to clean myself up, but called for help to get my clothes back on, and a friend came and helped me. Then had to wash out the trashcan the next day. It was gross.
Some people are just ignorant, if she was yelling there was nothing you could have done, just wait until it was quite and explain your situation in a normal tone of voice, she would have been the one looking like an idiot.
I would have said EXCUSE ME do you take a pregnancy test every month reguardless if you had sex or not? When she answer no then say well then you must be irresponible too.
I would tell her why did she asked that question if she was going to jump all over you. be proud of yourself. because i am.you are not irresponsible. you were right not to say anything else. what you said was good enough. you don't have to stoop to her level. congratulation's, keep it up. you will be rewarded .
