I was reading The Gambler, by Fyodor Dostoevksy, and came across this in the introduction:
When Blanche invites Alexey to spend his winnings with her in Paris and to go through two hundred thousand in two weeks, she promises him a miracle - you will see stars in daylight! - and appeals to the sheer intensity of the experience: "One month of such a life is worth your whole existence. One month - et après, le déluge!"
So my question is, do you agree? You can interpret the question however you want, but please explain your thoughts.

Wonderful Question !!! :) -To which the Answer is probably "Yes". ! I base that Answer- on the Times in my Life when I found myself in the first Intense Throes of LOVE for Someone... -When I was SO INTENSELY Happy- that NOTHING Mattered but what I was Feeling... It's the "Sense" that ONCE we've Experienced it- whether it was for a Day, a Week, a Month, -or for HOWEVER long, -that we always "go back to" because it makes all the REST of Our Mundane Lives WORTH the Experience... And when You THINK about it; isn't that brief "Intensity" of Love- what makes LIFE worth Living ??! :)
...disagree...i can get all that for less...
