I got my license a month ago, and even got a perfect score now the test. I’m usually a very cautious driver but made a big mistake today. I was coming up to a yield sign on a gravel road, and I looked and didn’t see anyone coming, not until I was halfway through the intersection I realized there had indeed been someone I made slow down and stop. I felt so bad and also am worried, could I get in trouble if he got my license and reported this?

Biggest thing to do is learn from this. Instead of talking about how you got a perfect score on your driving test you now realize you aren't a perfect driver and have to learn still.
Mistakes. That's what makes good experienced drivers.
The main thing is that there wasn't a collision and no-one was hurt. I very much doubt if you'll hear any more about it. Above all, you learned from your mistake and you won't do that again, will you? I'm prepared to bet that there isn't a single driver around who hasn't made a mistake in the past.
That's nothing. With more experience and attention your skill will increase. Keep paying attention, especially with the knowledge there are much worse drivers on the road, and even ones who are very distracted and reckless.
You should be worried, that's what stops you making more mistake. So long as the other driver didn't drop his beer there was no lasting damage.
First of all, you are not guilty of any major infraction so there is nothing to report. Simply allow the situation to be a learning experience for you. All drivers, young and old, make mistakes from time to time.
I thought for sure you were going to tell us you cause an accident. I'm kind of disappointed! 8^P
The answers here are just about unanimous. EVERYONE makes mistakes, and especially new drivers. I've been driving for decades and if I had a nickle for every time I cut someone off without meaning to, well I'd be a couple bucks richer anyway.
But no harm done--no crumpled sheet metal, nobody got killed, no cops, no insurance reports. You know such mistakes can have serious consequences, so let your concern make you a better driver. Slow down when you come to a yield sign and be damn good and sure there's nobody coming.
The other driver might have thought 'What a dummy!' Or he might have thought 'Oops. That could have been me!'
Everybody makes driving mistakes once in a while. People don't report them. It's just part of driving.
If he hits you then you’re at fault. Since no accident occurred, nothing to worry about.
not unless that someone was a police officer...don't worry...we all make little flubs that tick others off or weren't quite up to snuff with the rules of the road. other drivers don't have the time to tattle to the police.
