Hi people
A little back ground first..I'm not a total novice with PCs I can open one up and know what I'm looking at but it ends there.
I've been looking for the past couple months to get myself a gaming PC..but the pre made ones don't seem that good to be and the Custom build websites seem to cost a lot and don't have the parts I want. I've done a little back ground on CPUs and after market coolers and stuff.
Basically could you guys suggest some builds or something for a £1500 or $2400 budget. I'm guessing that's going to be a high end build. AMD or Intel I'm not bothered but have gaming in mind. Also I want to Over clock the system as well..so I don't know if that makes a difference.
Hope there is someone who can help me..
Thanks for your time.

If you're looking for overclocking, you want a K-series processor (intel), and you want a custom cpu cooler. And yes, for that kind of money you can get a very high end rig.
$140 OS: Windows 7 Professional or even Ultimate. Just because you can.
$155 PSU: A 850W or better modular power supply. Because overclocking takes a high quality power supply.
$144 Case: A midi tower or full tower with good airflow. I'd go for a Fractal Design XL, but something like a HAF-X would also be good - depending on what you think is nice when it comes to computer cases.
$200 Motherboard: I'd go for an Ivy Bridge right now, a Z77 motherboard.
$240 CPU: Something like the i5 3570K or the i7 3770K
$400 GPU: Well, a GeForce GTX 580, GeForce GTX 670 or GeForce GTX 680 should be more than sufficient.
$65 RAM: As fast as you can, and as much as you can get. More than 8 GB is actually getting to be irrelevant, but getting 16 GB really gives you bragging rights. I prefer Corsair, for instance Corsair Dominator or Vengeance RAM. For overclocking, consider active RAM cooling as well, just to be on the safe side.
$88 CPU Cooler: Well, the Noctua NH-D14 is great - and big. Make sure you have clearance for the memory - I haven't checked in my suggested build.
Fan controller: Would be nice, especially considering the overclocking. Zalman's MFC-01 is ok here, and NZXT has one called the Sentry LX that isn't bad either.
When it comes to HDD and any SDD, I'd recommend going for the Intel Smart Response feature on the motherboard, and go for a WD Black Edition SATA 3 (at least 1 TB) and perhaps a 30 GB SATA 3 SSD (I don't have any specific recommendations on an SSD).
That, together with a few extra bobs and ends (as many fans as your computer case can take, among other things, and the specific fan controller), and you should be set.
cpu: intel i5 3570k
mobo: ASUS Maximus V GENE
psu: silverstone strider plus 750w
gpu: gtx 670
ram: 8gb 1600mhz
case: antec 300 or what ever you like the look of
hdd: 120gb intel 520
hdd2: WD 1tb black
cpu cooler: cooler master evo 212
OS: win 7 pro 64bit
and maybe a nice sound card if you have some left over money or a bigger ssd

"I'm guessing that's going to be a high end build"
Yeah you could say that, you can't get much higher lol. It can run the near impossible Metro 2033 @ 1920x1200 which is really saying something.
