So many Americans want to see their fellow Americans with good paying industrial jobs. Those same people want to buy affordable goods. How do you expect a well paid workforce to be able to manufacture affordable goods. How exactly do you propose that we create cheap goods domestically and pay the producers well to make them at the same time?
If your going to give me some corn-ball protectionist theory, tell me how I as an American consumer can buy a DVD player made here by American workers at $10 an hour will be cheaper than one made by Chinese workers at $1 a day.

Oh it isn't possible. Something has to give. People can either cry about their jobs going overseas or they can cry about paying more for what they buy. They can't have it both ways.
Americans are so infantile and naive about how the economy works it would be amusing if it weren't so pathetically sad.
