Wouldn’t it be considered an oxymoron to be a Catholic and be called Christian? Worship a man instead of God, Call evolution truth, pray to the dead, Have Idols all around your house of the dead, worship on the day of Satan instead of the day of God, read the catechism instead of the word of God. The two just don’t fit together. What am I missing here?

Evolution is a fact. Plenty of Protestants believe in it in any case.
The Catholic Church have answers for all of that. I'm not Catholic but what it comes down to is that they are the church Christ founded through St Peter, so if they're not Christian you might want to ask yourself the question of how that happened. In fact, i'm going to ask that question myself now.
Catholics worship God through the Trinity.
The Pope is also a servant of God, and his steward until Christ returns. Read up on the significance of the keys in the OT, and how Christ will take them back in Revelation.
The Church was the mother of the bible not the daughter.
Authority is Transferred by the Sacrament of Ordination.
Acts 1:15-26; Acts 1:20; Acts 1:22; Acts 6:6; Acts 9:17-19; Acts 13:3; Acts 14:23; Acts 15:22-27; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; Col 1:25; 1 Tim. 3:1; 1 Tim. 4:14; 1 Tim. 5:22; 2 Tim. 1:6; 2 Tim. 4:1-6; 2 Tim. 2:2; Titus 1:5 - Luke 10:1; 1 John 4:6.
So which Apostolic Sucessor passed authority to you?
None, hence you are no authority proven in your denial of scripture.
You're missing quite a few things.
1. Catholics worship the Lord God Almighty and that's it.
2. Catholics are free to believe that God use evolution to create the world, since the Bible doesn't say exactly HOW God created the world and there is scientific evidence of micro-evolution (not macro, which would be one species evolving into another, but micro, which is changes within a species, like different breeds of dogs developing over centuries).
3. Catholics don't pray to the dead. We pray to saints who LIVE with Jesus in heaven. And we know they live because the Bible says so (John 3:16).
4. Catholics don't have idols (man-made objects that are worshiped in return for getting "favors"). We do have religious art, which is just art - like having a photo of your family or a nice landscape painting hanging on the wall.
5. Catholics worship *every* day, not just one day. But if you are referring to Sunday, we have our main worship on Sunday, because that's the day that Jesus rose from the dead. The Bible says that early Christians gathered on Sunday for Communion (Acts 20:7), and we've kept it up. (And it's not "satan's day" - satan doesn't have a day, and you shouldn't give him that much credit.)
6. Catholics read the Bible daily, and the Catechism is explanation of Bible teaching, so it's full of quotes from Scripture.
7. Um, the Word of God, according to the Bible, is JESUS. See John 1.
Do you really want an answer here or do you just want to spread lies and distort truth? If you really wanted to know what the Catholic Church teaches there is an abundance of information. Learning about the Catholic church through non-Catholics is like asking a cat how to fly?
Dear Mike, please get some help. Your use of the word "oxymoron" indicates to me that you are an oxymoron without the "oxy". Peace of Christ! This is from a devoted Roman Catholic who knows the truth that Jesus Christ Himself founded the Roman Catholic Church. Praise the Lord!
What you are missing is compassion, and accurate knowledge of all religion.
It isn't just Catholics who worship the wrong GOD, it's all religion.
The definition of Christian by the way, is one who believes in Jesus Christ. Catholics do believe in him.
Where ever you are getting your story from, is in the same wrong place that Catholics got theirs.
There is Hope. Soon, very soon, GOD will rise and show the world that HE lives and will begin to take back what belongs to HIM. This includes cleansing "religion", and bring them back to a pure state of being, following HIS teachings, and not man made.
GOD Bless
Catholics worship Jesus Christ, as do Protestants and Orthodox Christians. They all worship a man instead of God The trappings are different but I don't understand why you would find one of these forms of worship offensive and not the others.
'Mike' I agree with 'eireblood' So which Apostolic Sucessor passed authority to you? http://members.shaw.ca/bmaundy/Extras/Apostle_hist...
I understand the superior claim to authority that the Church of Rome has. Martin Luther and Henry VIII never met Christ in person but St Peter did, so there´s no argument there. http://members.shaw.ca/bmaundy/Extras/Proof_of_One...
What you're missing here is that Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity.
Simple really
You're not Catholic. You don't know Catholicism.
