So I am thinking about attempting to join a union as aposed to my current job, which is secure but could definitely pay better. I'm looking at different unions, and I'm considering joining a general labor union. My question is, would this be a good idea? Would being a union laborer be a GOOD job? Another question I have is about the consistency of work. I want to know if I will always have work, or will i be screwed without pay when theres no jobs to be done. Anyone in a labor unions, operator or trade union with some knowledge or advise please let me know your experience.  Thankyou
