You're pulling from the OT, which has a very different mindset in some parts. The child mortality rate was so incredibly high that it simply didn't make sense to have them as full members of society when the majority simply wouldn't survive due to natural causes. Plus, the final citation you have is indeed a punishment of a man by killing his child, because he had a man killed and took the widow to be his wife, and this child was the fruit of that sin. However, the man repented and allowed the next child to live. How can you agree with abortion? it is sacred human life, something can't go from non-human to human. The Bible never said that they weren't human. Abortion is incredibly selfish, a deep sin, greater than murder of an adult, in my mind, because it is a murder done out of convenience. You sicken me.

My answer to your question is that people who take the anti-thought position generally don't think. I think that atheists and pro-thought individuals should start organizing in the way that the anti-thought christians do and put some people in office.
