Huullloo... christians already make false claims: they say there's a god!

First of all it's hard for me to believe that anyone who was truly a born again believer would purposely deceive people for financial gain. I agree that there are people in this world who claim that they are Christians but in reality have never experienced a true conversion or a true relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and give people who are true about their faith a bad name.

Matt 7:21-23

21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

The church that I attend has some really great people, not that they are perfect, but they are trying their best to live their life in a way that pleases God.

There was no asterisk by the "Thou Shalt Not Lie" commandment that I was aware of when I was a Christian. Has that changed in the last 30 years?

scripture says all liars will have their part in hell. I think that means no exceptions. But it seems to me a lie is only when you say something you know to be untrue. Just because YOU believe evolution is true doesn't make others liars for not believing it.
