I am definitely less intelligent because I don't care about anything and I have absolutely no curiousity about anything. All I want to do is drink beer, watch baseball, go to concerts, hang out on my boat, hang out at the dockside bars, go to the Lingerie shows after a day of water skiing, and when I have nothing better to do, then I answer stupid yahoo questions and try to collect as many violation notices as I can.

I'm not exactly sure what is average intelligence. Can intelligence actually be measured based on what we know. I mean some have lived longer than others so obviously they will be a little bit more intelligent than the younger ones. Then take into consider what we major in, a science major will know more about science than a business major. Intelligence for every person is different because we live and experience life at different stages in life. Right now I'd have to say I'm not so intelligent because I've lived yes but enough.

This is a good question, a rare exception to a lot of the questions here. i think I am more intelligent than the average person, but as I ve never had an IQ test, I can t really know it or prove it. My decision was based on my school and college performance. This said, I think i m not very far from the average, I would give myself a 120.

I rolled by your question this morning. It reminded me of the I.Q tests I took years ago.

I was not dissappointed with myself because I have never felt equal or superior to many of my friends and/or relatives.

The 117 resulted in very "average" capabilities.

Thank goodness I'm not below normal, but, the only things special about me as a human being is that I was able to make a small contribution to mankind and produce another with higher intelligence and better health.

I tested high on an IQ test when I was in school many years ago, but since all an IQ test tells you is your ability to learn that really doesn't mean anything at all. I think I am probably at this point of average intelligence. I spell well, but that doesn't always indicate intelligence, there are many people who spell poorly but are intelligent. I still learn easily, but don't use it all that often other then everyday life.

I dont necessarily consider myself more intelligent than others, I do however know that I have a better memory for the knowledge I have seen heard or learned over the years than some but not all. I dont think anyone is more intelligent than another but some people have better memories for the knowledge they have been taught or learned and everyone is more or less intelligent about a subject the enjoy or have a knack for. For example...I love learning about plants, birds and mammals so I may know more than someone who is interested in learning about history and literature by the same token they may know more about thier particular interest. That does not make me more intelligent than them, just more knowledgeable about my particular field of interest...while at the same time there are people out there that know more than I do about plants, birds and mammals it just means they have learned more than me but I still have the capacity to learn as much or maybe more or less than they do. Thats all. I dont think there is such thing as "intelligence" just the ability to learn and remember more or less in each person.

I know that I'm more intelligent than average. By the way, as a rule "half must be above [the median] and half must be below".

to be honest, im not sure which side i should be on, i guess considering other factors such as aging (im getting old), medical condition (diabetic), pressure (high blood/cholesterol-genetic), overwhelmed (mom's just got married at young age of 76), grievances (close family being separated after all these years) will decide.

when i was young, i consider myself as a computer brain that absorbed every tiny little things. im always rank #1 when taking exam (i still have all the result and the picture of receiving medals-my mom keep it as souvenir) but im a shy type. back then , i never consider myself as intelligent.

now that im in my prime, work as an analyst, i know all the answers to any questions there is regarding operation (since im the clean up woman to all issues) and i worked all around, but i still don't consider myself as intelligent.

i guess im just not cut out to be an intelligent woman there is. then i should consider myself as an average after all....

Your results will be skewed because all of the group you are asking at minimum are intelligent enough to learn how to use a computer, log on to Yahoo answers, and the fact that they are seeking "answers" means that most probably do, in fact, fall on the higher side of the intelligence scale.

OHOH, looking at some of the questions makes me wonder....
