Can you write a paragraph, explaining reasons why you disagree with this sentence “When the law does not succeed in punishing criminals, citizens should do so.”
Thanks.
Update:I already wrote my thoughts on it, but I need other people's thoughts. It not just going to be for one school news paper, I want to make a daily section. :) I did google it. But it leds me to more government thoughts, I want the daily people's thoughts.

In a democratic country the citizens are bosses.
Good citizens elect bad politicians by not exercising their franchise.
Bad politicians take the support of the criminals to get elected.
So good people make bad politicians rule the country.
Bad politicians in return help the criminals to see that the law does not succeed to punish the criminals.
Finally, if the rule of law is to exist good citizens should exercise their franchise.
If good citizens exercise their franchise good politicians will get elected.
If good politicians succeed, they will ensure that the law does succeed in punishing the criminals.
Are you trying to get us to do your homework? It's an opinion, anyway. You must make your own conclusion on that one. You can do some research via google and ask friends in your area, of your similar background or at your church or synagogue.
Surely I can write many paragraphs why I disagree with that statement.
However, I can't write a single word on why YOU disagree with that statement.
If someone does it for you, what will you learn? Do a little googling on the subject and you will be able to compose it yourself. Good luck.
