I can’t seem to find anything but is there a ...”at camp”...the way it was explained was like a second boot camp but shorter and if you didn’t make clearance you didn’t move forwards sounds fake, what is your guy’s opinion?

Such places do exist. All they do is have you eat non-GMO foods. No GMO foods allowed
you do not ship out until you are within standards. any 'fat camp' prior to enlisting would be something you find and pay for on your own time and dime.
it only comes into play after one is enlisted and fails a PRT. then you get assigned to extra PT daily and has less to do with weight and more to do with meeting the run or swim time and the pushups, pull-ups and sit ups.
You are probably referring to the Dep program and how some recruiters will have their recruits who are waiting to enlist join in group type workouts to make sure they are in good physical condition and can meet the standards when they actually enlist and go off to basic training. The Air Force for instance has a year waiting time for enlistment and so recruiters want to insure that those in their pipeline already waiting are able to meet the standards. If they don't then they can't enlist and the recruiter receives no credit for them enlisting and helping to meet that recruiter's quota. Recruiters that habitually don't meet their quota don't stay recruiters but instead are sent back to doing their previous job and revert back to their old AFSC or MOS in all the military services.
I have heard of Localized Programs, where go-getter recruiters will actually offer to work out with overweight prospects and try to teach them how to exercise a little better.......to lose the weight, to meet the requirements for boot camp.......
but I know of no authorized "Fat camps".
The recruiter might offer to go jogging with you, as encouragement, or spend an hour or 2 with you at the GYM- but that's up the the recruiter and how he wishes to spend his time.
Do not join the US military. You will be an unwitting instrument of a vile and corrupt system.
If you do join, it should be for infiltration purposes.
you have to meet the weight requirements to enlist
yes, there is a fat company, for people who cannot pass the initial PT test, they stay there until they can pass the initial pt test
its not to lose weight, since you must be at weight to be able to enlist
There may be an extra week or so to trim down some recruits to the standard weight required for their height. Someone might have nicknamed it fat camp.
