It's definitely not Faberge - the Initials are EG.

Faberge products have the name Фаберже stamped on them,

I've had a look throught the hallmarks on the attached website, but I can't find it - I suggest taking it to a very good jewellers, auctioneers or museum (like the V&A in London, the Hermitage in St Petersburg or similar) to see what they say.

Yes, I agree that it's probably Faberge that you're referring to. He was the court jeweler to Czar Nicholas II, and probably is best known for the series of Easter eggs he created for the Romanovs. Nicholas put in an order for two of them every year, one for his mother and one for his wife.

They are brilliant examples of the jeweler's art--they also opened to reveal a "surprise" inside. Faberge's masterpiece is considered to be the egg he created to commemorate the completion of the Trans-Siberian Railroad

--the "surprise" inside was, I believe, a miniature train that ran on a track which was placed over a map of Russia.

Faberge was an opulent jeweler for a VERY opulent age.

Possibly, P.C.F. - Peter Carl Faberge, he was a famous Russian jeweler at that time.

If it's NOT Faberge, which is my suggestion, who is it Mr. Thumbs Down.
