Yeah, you should definitely go to him with a group of friends and ask him for all your stuff back (unless it was food). When you have loads of friends with you most likely he will do as you say.

Ask for the stuff you bought him back. If he's going to be a jerk then i would do it right back.

There isn't much you can do if you gave them to him as a gift, it would appear that he was using you for the presents, as hard as it may be I'd just move on and take this as a lesson for the future, you could try and get him to tell you why he broke up with you but I doubt you'd get a truthful answer.
