They want to survive the battle of Armageddon (about to happen any day now), and they believe that if they don't do as much door-to-door work as they possibly can, Jehovah God won't be pleased with them and they might not make it. They call this the witness work.
And before JWs thumb this down, just read this quote from The Watchtower magazine, 15 July, 1972, page 423: "Actually, without such witnessing there is no salvation for Christians." It continues, "How would you go about making Christian disciples of others? Do you try to witness to your neighbors or to your associates at work about the good news? Actually, very few who profess to be Christians do this." This makes them feel really good about themselves - hardly anyone else is doing the witness work! (And if you believe that, you'll believe anything.)
So the answer is, they want to do the door-to-door work to enhance their chances of surviving Armageddon, and they consider this work to be proof that they are the real Christians - the only ones making disciples the right way.
specific I unquestionably have study it. No the guy isn't evil. Then does no longer everybody in or out of the corporation that knowingly teaches an untruth could additionally be an apostate? in case you utilize the scriptural view and he's sturdy then everybody opposing him or the corrections he tried to make may be the apostate in or out of the corporation. And as a set be evil slave?
We are there because we are following jesus' command to preach at matthew 28:19,20. We have an obligation to let others know the truths found in the bible.
The Witnesses believe that in the beginning, God’s first creation was Michael the archangel who helped create the world. Then, Michael became a man known as Jesus. Jesus was a perfect man, but was not God in the flesh. He then died at the stake, not on the cross. Finally, he was resurrected as a spirit, not as human with a physical body. They also do not believe the Holy Spirit is God, but simply an active force.
Conversely, Christians believe that God created the world on His own. He then sent his Son Jesus, who was God in the flesh to die on the cross to pay for our debt of sin. He was then resurrected with a physical body, but could switch between a spiritual body when He wanted to. Christians also believe the Holy Spirit is God and works in our hearts and minds to draw us closer to Him. I wrote an article that compares Jehovah's Witnesses with Christianity here: http://www.bible-study-lessons.com/Jehovahs-Witnes... Hope that helps. God bless.

They just want to live their lives in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ and by the example that he set which can be found in the Bible and which they believe in the inspired written word of God. That is what being a Christian means- living your life like Christ did and following in his footsteps.
When Jesus was on earth he spent his life in a ministry teaching others about his Father and the Good New of God's Kingdom.
(John 6:38) because I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him that sent me.
(Mt 4:23) Then he went around throughout the whole of Gal′i‧lee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of the kingdom.....
