You- yes- YOU! have received all of God's special Grace™, in spite of the millions of other people who have not or weren't interested. The question of whether it actually happened or not aside, how do you reconcile telling others that you received it with the requirement that you have humility? Are you really given authority to claim that you have received it, and that others can too if they act precisely as you have?

No. I mean, if you believe you have received it, then that's just what you believe. I'm pretty sure Christians believe that anyone can receive the Holy Spirit if they accept Christ or whatever, so they don't believe it makes them inherently superior to anyone else.
It's not as if any Christian conversation goes "HEY GUESS WHAT I'VE RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT, HOW TOTALLY AWESOME AM I?"
"Wow, can I receive the Holy Spirit too?"
"NO, ONLY I AM AWESOME ENOUGH!"
I agree with most of what he says in the video, but he sort of makes it sound like if you're baptized with the holy spirit that speaking in tongues is the only way to recognize it.That isn't true at all. Being baptized in the holy spirit means we are given the Gifts of the holy spirit. Some people receive the gift of speaking in tongues, some don't. Some receive the gift of healing (which doesn't mean we ourselves can heal peole, but that we have the gift to lay our hands on people and that god will use us as sort of the "middle man") Other gifts you might receive if you've been baptized in the holy spirit is the gift of forgiveness. Some people NEVER learn how to forgive and you need to recognize that as a gift. Without the holy spirit, you'd remain resentful and unforgiving. Don't think that speaking in tongues is a gift that EVERYONE receives. That is not true. Being baptized in the holy spirit is a change that takes place inside of you. The sins you used to commit might seem disgusting to you, the thoughts you once had might seem horrible. Once you are baptized with the holy spirit, the filthy sinful life you once led is now recognized as a life you NEVER want to revisit. The changes in your thoughts and decisions and lifestyle is a very obvious sign that you've been baptized in the holy spirit.
It has nothing to do with humility. You are not claiming that YOU are holy- or that you have earned the holy spirit. You are just saying that you believe and therefore have recieved God's gift of the HS.
It's sounds like you don't quite know what it means to receive the Holy Spirit. If you are bragging about it or setting yourself up as an example to other people, then you don't get it, dude. Sorry.
Are you asking a question or trying to sell me something?
Pretentious:
1 : characterized by pretension: as a : making usually unjustified or excessive claims (as of value or standing) <the pretentious fraud who assumes a love of culture that is alien to him — Richard Watts> b : expressive of affected, unwarranted, or exaggerated importance, worth, or stature <pretentious language> <pretentious houses>
2 : making demands on one's skill, ability, or means : ambitious <the pretentious daring of the Green Mountain Boys in crossing the lake — American Guide Series: Vermont>
It depends on the person. Some are pretentious because they don't have the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ Gospel... And others are legit and know in their knower they belong to Jesus & have the Holy Spirit of Promise. If one does not have the Biblical Holy Spirit, they are not Gods child yet. They are not saved yet.
Biblical scripture reveals to us how we can know we are sealed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit confirms to our spirit man that we belong to Jesus. So we come boldly before the Throne of Grace in hour of need...
And everyone born of God is sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise when they first believed.
The Holy Spirit is One Spirit, but the gifts are different. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are various.
For these to be Gifts of the Holy Spirit, one must receive them while in praise & worship in the Presence of God the Holy Spirit.
We know a tree by its fruit. So we pray to God about our own fruit. And realize that love needs to be the root of it. Faith, Hope & Love are eternal. The greatest of these is Love.
God has given me AUTHORITY to trample on snakes & scorpions. Nothing, no nothing can harm me.
We may get knocked down... but we are never destroyed. God always picks us up.
Are you saying it is pretentious to receive a gift? For that is all I have done God is willing to give this gift to everyone who wants it. Can you accept it with humility of course you are humbled because God has given you a gift. It is a free gift that is on offer to everyone it's your choice if you want it or not. So accepting a gift is not being pretentious.
We have the Holy Spirit living within us simply by asking Christ to save us. We know it is in us because the Bible, a living word of God tells us exactly why it's in us.
We didn't earn it by any means. It was a gift by a merciful and powerful Lord. Our calling is to be a humble servant to a living God and emulate Christ with our actions. Sometimes we shine and other times we glow.
It's never pretentious to quote Almighty God.
Not to mention the millions of people who have a greater level of devotion, piety and pray constantly and Honour their god in every way imaginable, yet still live the most wretched, unhappy and unsatisfactory lives.
Yeah, that's about as pretentious and arrogant as it gets.
likewise, it is pretentious to say the pharmekia is the HOLY Spirit.
there are two types of Peace in the world, the one that comes from sorceries and the other that comes from "above".
whether Jesus actually gave pharmecutical spirits to his apostles is slightly disagreable to me.
but nevertheless the spirits of pharmekia can be used to bless and curse and even torment the mind because of the blood in human beings. this has been called witchcraft and poisoning.
it is presumptuous to call witchcrafts the spirit of God and more presumptuous to call it (holy).
I can claim it for i have accepted it. Just as many others have before me. you do not recieve it because you have not asked or wanted it.
Too easy for someone of such little understanding to comprehend?
I do not bring it up unless asked about it..... I offer The Salvation Message to all those who are open to hearing it..... you clearly are not..... so I wont
