Eh, I find it preferable to just say I want to put my team in the best position possible to win as many titles as possible, although every man has an ego and wants to be better than everyone else at something. Personally I find the "team answer" a little more classy...but also it can have an effect on impressionable teens when the face of the sport wants to be "better than everyone else" as opposed to "doing everything possible for my team." He's kind of a trend setter for American teens.
And your point is? Shouldn't that be the goal of every professional basketball player? And I actually appreciate the fact that he admitted he's not even close yet, something his d1ckriders refuse to do
