So here’s the deal, I had a balance of $820 left on my car and the finance company for told me they would settle my full amount from for $420. I had to fulfill the contract by May 29th2009 in order for it to be valid. I sent in my payment through mail on May 25th, 2009 which was Memorial Day so it didn’t go out until the 26th so it didn’t make it by the 29th. On the 29th however, I made a transfer through Western Union which settled my full amount. Now, on the 1st of June, 2009, they received the original payment that I had mailed which was the overpayment. Today I spoke to the supervisor who was going to take care of this but she told me she didn’t know what happened to the payment or if they can even refund my money because apparently they keep it so is there anything I can do under law?

What he**, did you send cash?
You should have sent a check. If it was deposited/cashed by the finance co, go to your bank and get a copy of the damned canceled check.
Is a couple bucks too much to pay for a copy?
i'm not sure yet once you call a criminal professional they are going to probable be waiting to respond to that for you over the telephone. in case you paid via money order they might track it via the stub. they might additionally be waiting to coach you a replica of the money order if it became into ever cashed. in case you paid via the different technique it is going to be traceable besides...Please say you probably did no longer deliver funds..I had my landlord say i became into 800 money short on hire till now and because I paid with a money order I had it traced and it became out they credited my value to a different condo!!! the different condo became into written on the money order reproduction and that they fixed the situation..continuously save your receipts! ;)
