If you are trying to find 5 plot points then you just pick 5 values of x and work out what h(x) is for those values. Its sensible to pick postive, negative values and 0 as taht gives you a feel for the shape of the graph.
eg. when x=0 h(x) = 0 so (0,0) is one point.
when x= 1 h(x) = 2 so (1,2) is a point
when x=2 h(x) = 4 so (2,4) is another point
when x= -1 h(x) = 2 so (-1,2) is a point
when x= -2 h(x) is 4 so (-2,4) is a point.
If you plot those you'll see that the graph looks like a V with the bottom of the V at the origin. It never dips below the x-axis because of the | |
