I was eating solid foods one day after I had all four wisdom teeth pulled. The McRib had just come out on Monday, the same day I got them pulled. I was at McDonald's on Tuesday eating McRibs and fries. It all depends on you. The painkillers I was prescribed enabled me to eat. I just made sure I kept my mouth clean by brushing my teeth, and rinsing with warm salt water to inhibit bacteria from forming. Of course, I used my syringe with the warm salt water in the four new holes in my mouth.
The "after surgery" instructions did state I was supposed to eat soft foods like soups, Jell-O, and pudding, but I had to eat solid foods to take any meds. I ate Ravioli on Monday afternoon and night, but McDonald's, Burger King, and Pizza Hut the rest of the week.
I was also very surprised but the number of people who responded who have recently experienced a pulled tooth. Some were like mine for a broken tooth, others had wisdom teeth removed but it proved to me again, we are not in this alone. Hopefully, when some other tooth missing person with a swollen jaw is search for food ideas, this post will give them some suggestions to try.
Ever heard of a dry socket? That's something you have to experience to appreciate the amount of pain you will suffer. Stick to the soft foods for a while or take the risk of a dry socket...

Ask your oral surgeon your question.
Same I'm literally starving. But I don't think you can eat chicken cuz it's too hard
you can eat hard food
Yes you can eat anything. dry socket only happens in the first 3 days.
If it doesn't hurt and doesn't bleed, then eat what you want.
Fish and meat should be baked or boiled, NOT fried or breaded
You can probably eat fish because it's very flakey and soft, but I would wait atleast a week for other meats.
