Lighting is the purest form of energy. It is a stream of electrons moving from the clouds to the ground. Theoretically nothing can go faster than the speed of light. Not even electrons. The speed probably more or less depends on the conditions of the air. The zigzag is due to laws of nature and how everything follows the path of least resistance.
If you're being serious (which I'm guessing you are), lightening doesn't go the speed of light, because the light passing through the layers of oxygen, much like you'd put a white beam in a prism to make a rainbow. The light going through the prism slows down a small, small, SMALL, fraction. But not really much.
But if you're talking about it that it takes longer to hit the ground because it's going in a zig zag pattern, you're right. But it doesn't mean the speed if different. It's just taking longer to hit the ground.

The speed doesn't depend on the route it takes. Zig zag or straight, the speed is the same.
That is a matter of light refraction. It wouldn't even be a second slower. Maybe a fraction of a second, though...
