I want to buy a royal python. the reptile breeder i know is really safe and knocks prices off. but i want a full setup for a royal python but i only have £75. Is this enough???
No sorry it isnt enough. Its going to cost you alot more £75 would only cover the snake if you lucky. You will need a enclosre thats escape proof min price £50 for a small enclosure for a baby python and as it gets bigger you will be looking at £200-£300 for an enclosure You need a heat mat £10 for a small then £30 for a large basking light £8.00 for light alone and £15 for the holder Bedding £2.50 and water dish £5-£10
as thay like to soak Food cost £0.40p for pinkis Cost of decorating your tank £50.
You need to not only consider what it will cost you know to buy a full set up for a baby python but what the cost are going to be when its alot bigger. I would say you will need a min of £150 - £200 to start you off Then you will need at least £200 saved up to buy at least a 3ft tank when its bigger. You need to thin carefully about this you set up needs to be escape proof most adult boas and pythons are strong enough to push open a lid with 2x breeze blocks on it. You need to ensure the water dish is deep and big enough for it to soak in the basking light will also need a square meshed box around it so the snake won't get burt and as it gets bigger so dose th size of everything you have get it. so make sure you going to still be able to keep up with th maintance of the snake and the costs of the snake as thay grow quickly.
