I have never saw such a disrespectful memorial as the one I saw yesterday , firstly the family to be honest they didn't seem sad at all , secondly you have people and half-naked women singing and dancing on the guys body , I mean come on people , the guy needs prayer and silence not people singing over his body

I didn't watch it. I was working.
What half-naked women? The man's entire life was dedicated to singing, and dancing. I thought the entire event was held with decorum and class. How could you say such a crass, offensive thing. I agree that he needs prayer. The way you phrase your question you appropriate it to be as if they were having a rap/ pop/ hip-hop montage around the casket, which was tastefully closed. I felt that the family was genuinely upset. Did you not see the mortified little girl who stood up, bawling, almost to the point of hyperventilating, commend her 'daddy', which is not a lightly used word, the best person in the world. Now I can openly say that I was not a Micheal Jackson fan, however I do believe that everything was handled well yesterday. Even the audience held some decorum. And another thing, WHO THE HELL WAS ON HIS BODY? You must really not pay attention to anything. One last point, I think that you are an ignoramus for the reason that if you are trying to make a point, a serious point, which I might have respected, you should have checked the way you spelled disgraceful, because I want to spell it for you. Y-O-U!
No. I didn't find the memorial to be disgraceful. The family, i thought, were incredibly saddened. His daughters five second contribution to the event brought me to tears. It must be horrible to have to try to understand why her father had to go through half of what he did. And like the congress woman said in her speech - INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. There were no half naked women singing over his body. If it's Mariah Carey you are referring to, yes, i agree that she could have chosen a more conservative dress. But this was the memorial of a man who became dear to the whole world. Look at his face, even. His ever-changing face. You have to remember that he did that for his fans. He was so self conscious about how he looked for you and me that he mutilated his face in search of perfection to please his fans. Hang your head in shame, friend. And regarding your comment about needing prayer and silence...This is also a man who knew nothing else but show business. Practically BORN on a stage, he loved the audience and he loved making people happy. So if saying goodbye as a mass audience seemed to pacify the public, which it obviously did, then he would have wanted it that way.
Are you sure you were watching his memorial? What I seen of it (the last 45 min or so) was very, very respectful and fitting for the "king of pop". I am by no means a big fan but like every other teen in the 80's I owned and listened to "thriller" constantly. He was a world wide major star, he deserved the memorial. One that celebrated his life long work which his did.
There are some ppl there that I thought why they there.(like Tyrese & Chris Brown. what da heck they were doing there??) Half naked woman means Mariah?? Ya, I agree her dress was revealing for memorial... Not appropriate. Other than that, I thought it was beautiful memorial. MJ was entertainer with lots of fans and exposure. He loved the attention and stage. I think he enjoy the "celebration of his death" instead of sad and somber mood as his departure. He was remember by thousand of fans on the stage. I think that was a great way to express how much ppl miss him.
All of that stuff you said wasn't true. Everyone I saw looked sad. Did you see his brother's song? Brooke Shield's emotional speech? His daughter's words and tears? Nobody was "half naked," that's just a lie.
It's the families right to hold a memorial if they want to, if anything, don't stoop down to the level of blaming the family. Blame the media for covering his death more than the dozens of Americans that have died in the Middle East since Jackson's death.
Michael Jackson was an entertainer he would have expected singing and dancing at his memorial service.
As for his family they attended a private service so they would have let their emotions run away from them in private than at the public memorial.
Your opinions are in the minority. I disagree with you however this is America and you are entitled to your opinion.
The family was of cource sad they were probablly just trying to be strong and it was not disgraceful at all the songs were of PRAISE to michale jackson. Do you think Michale would have wanted everyone to be crying and sad or dancing and singing which he LOVED AND CHERISHED he probablly watched his funeral from heaven with a moon walk and a " he he heeeeeeeeee" :)
No! you are being disgraceful saying things that are untrue.Yes they
had prayer at the end of the service .I didn't see nobody dancing on
his body so you had to be looking at something else. The casket
was closed go try another question
I found the glorification of Michael Jackson "disgraceful"... He was a singer, a dancer, a great entertainer; that's it! Where were these people in defending the children he allegedly raped? They were defending MJ before the jury acquitted [acquitted does not = not guilty) I found the coverage of his service "disgraceful" {didn't watch} but they were just giving the people what they want = idol worship. It's how we elected our last President, wasn't it? Cause He looked SLICK...
Funerals and memorials are for the living, not the dead. His family got what they wanted. Chill.
