can I use my military discount to buy my fiancée a plane ticket to visit me?
I m in Florida, she s in California so tickets are super expensive. Can I use my military discount to buy her ticket even though I m not technically the one using it?
I've bought tickets on Southwest with a military discount and although I was able to check in online and get my place in line, I was only able to get a security document. I had to show my ID to someone at the ticket counter or gate to get an actual boarding pass.

No. Youmust present a valid CAC or DD1172 at check in. If you(she) cannot, the ticket will be reproved at the current rate.
Besides, most of the time the restricted fares are cheaper
